REDGRAVE LAUNCHES AN UNUSUAL VENUE FOR CAR SALES!

Five times Olympic gold medallist Sir Steve Redgrave CBE took a relaxing break from the water to launch the new Jag 2.5 V6 S-Type. The venue was an unusual one - the Ideal Home Exhibition at Earls Court. What could be better to see on the forecourt of the show houses than a sleek new Jag, and even better order one. For the first time visitors to the show can order one from Stratstone of Mayfair, one of London's finest suppliers of executive and premium cars. They have taken the unusual step of sponsoring the driveways and you can see not only the stylish new car unveiled by Sir Steve but also the 2 litre X-type and get a chance to win one of the new small Jags.
Following the demise of the London Motor Show, Stratstone have taken the unusual step of sponsoring the driveways at the 2002 Daily Mail Ideal Home Show. There visitors can see the latest Jaguar cars parked in the driveways of the stylish luxury homes that visitors to the show aspire to.
Managing Director Keith Woods said: "Being at the Ideal Home Show is a first for us but it is all part of a new way of thinking that is sweeping through the luxury market. A few years ago it was just motor shows where you could see the latest models, but now the motor car is perceived very much as a lifestyle product and blends in well with other areas such as the best in homes."

Stratstone are not just sticking cars on driveways. They are running Jaguar orientated seminars on subjects such as the new tax laws (company cars will be taxed on emissions etc).
The new 2.5 V6 S-Type is quite stunning, both inside and out. This Topaz model just screamed out to buy me. Elegant and smooth with a carefully laid out interior it proved a perfect foil for the show homes. With a touring suspension, ivory leather trim and automatic suspension it costs only £28,900. The V6 can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 8.2 seconds and has a top speed of 142mph. Consumption figures come out as 21.2/38.7 and 29.6 for the urban/extra urban and combined cycles, and for those concerned about company car tax related CO2 figures these come out at 229.
Other cars on show are the X-Type 2.0 and the XJ8 3.2.
Sir Steve said that he loves the Jag that his wife bought him after his historic fifth consecutive gold at Sydney in 2000, and was keen to view this latest model. This summer he will be taking a break going down the Panama canal, but he will be cruising on a large liner, rather than fighting the conditions under his own steam!

Of course you don't have to visit the show to take a look at this classy new act. Contact Stratstone on 020 7629 4404
