MILESTONE FOR MAGIC

MAGIC, the Ford Motor Company Limited's information service for people with disabilities and mature drivers is celebrating after reaching another important milestone. It has now assisted more than 200,000 people, who have called to get free motoring and mobility information.

Roger Putnam, the new chairman of Ford Motor Company Limited, paid his first visit to MAGIC recently and it gave him the opportunity to learn more about the important work that goes on at the Swindon-based organisation. He said: "MAGIC does a first class job providing an invaluable service to people who need help in this specialised area.

"The news that over 200,000 people have called the centre is conclusive proof that MAGIC has made a mark with people with disabilities and mature drivers all over the country.

"For 25 years, Ford has been committed to helping people with disabilities to get mobile. We were a founding member of the Motability Scheme nearly 25 years ago and since then have supplied over 400,000 Motability Scheme vehicles, more than any other motor manufacturer. This is a record we're very proud of and MAGIC was introduced to extend and improve our services to this important group of motorists."

MAGIC is a unique service that provides free motoring and mobility information to people in the United Kingdom, regardless of what make of car they drive or want to drive. Anyone can call MAGIC's freephone service on 0800 240 241, but it is particularly useful for people with disabilities or mobility issues, their families, friends and carers.
