ISSUE ONE LAUNCHES

Intersection - the groundbreaking new quarterly car style

concept from the makers of Dazed & Confused – arrives on

newsstands on 21 March 2002.

Aimed at people not petrolheads, it treats cars as part of the

human race.

Fuelled by a recently resurgent cultural obsession with cars,

Intersection leaves behind the test drive and ‘babes + motors’

formats to delve deeper into the culture of cars.

Written like a novel, soundtracked like a road trip, and photographed like a fashion magazine, Intersection brings the approach of a style magazine to the subject of cars. It places motoring back where it belongs, inside the lifestyle mix of fashion, music, art, film, travel, design and technology.

Intersection is about how cars affect our lives, and how they can enhance them,” comments editor-in-chief Dan Ross.  “It’s at the centre of a growing dialogue between the car industry and the creative world about what we all want from cars.”

Driven by curiosity, says Ross, “at heart, it’s also a magazine about the street – the rawest of public spaces – where, whatever we drive, our paths inevitably cross.”
