AUSSIES EYE UP NEW MICROBUS

VW have announced that the Microbus which caught the eye when a concept was exhibited at Detroit in 2001 is to go into production. An MPV that is equivalent in aize to the current Caravelle and Multivan it has a style which is reminiscent of the original rear engined T1 Microbus the favourite of Aussie backpackers and the like. The front is unlike anything that you would have seen an Aussie emerging from, as it has wide and shallow headlamps and a front mounted liquid cooled engine. With six seats in three rows of two the middle row can turn through 180 degrees.
