HOT AS CAYENNE PEPPER

It may not look like the Porsche cars that you have known over the last couple of decades, but the Cayenne is indeed every inch a Porsche and even though technically it is a five door hatch, it will combine the performance pedigree that has come to be expected of the Stuttgart giant and yet give much more space than you would normally associate with this marque.
This four wheel drive vehicle will feature PTM (Porsche Traction Management) which has an electronically controlled longditutional differential lock and rear axle differential with a standard 38% front and 62% rear split. The PTM can control power according to whatever the driving conditions are, and where necessary feeds up to 100% power of the engine torque to either front or rear.

There is also a pneumatic suspension with self-levelling and adjustable ride height with some six different ride height settings.
Finally there is PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), which is a brand new variable damping system in combination with the pneumatic suspension. Operated electronically it adjusts damper forces continuously as a function of road conditions and each individual drivers style of motoring. There are also three manual settings (comfort, normal or sports).
For total off road safety there is a steel plate underfloor panel around the radiator and a 100% differential lock on the rear axle. There are anti roll bars on front and rear axles.

The engine is a water cooled V8 with a capacity of 4511cc with maximum torque of 420Nm at 2500-5500 rpm. Top speed will be around 150mph with an acceleration from 0-100km/h of 7.2 seconds. The turbo version will have a top speed of 165mph and acceleration figures of 5.6 seconds.
It will be unveiled in a few months.
