The new MINI has sped into the record books, scooping the accolade for the world's shortest film.

The British Board of Film Classification has awarded movie status to a cheeky ad from the 'It's a MINI Adventure' series. The advert, entitled 'Film', was made especially for cinema and is part of a campaign that also includes 'Martians' and 'Zombies'.

The ten second film features a British Racing Green MINI zipping along a country lane giving viewers just enough time to glimpse its new good looks before the credits roll.
