SMART RALLY BRINGS A CARNIVAL OF COLOUR TO PARK LANE
On Sunday 21 July up to 500 unique customised and stylish smart cars will expose Park Lane to a carnival of colour as they embark on their first London to Brighton rally.
Imagine a convoy of multi-coloured smart, including a selection of the most chic and creative customised cars seen on UK roads - e.g. a cow car (complete with udder and ears), a Dalmatian, a Barbie tribute, a bunny and a naturist and you'll get an idea of the unique picture opportunity available at Hyde Park Corner.
The rally, which also marks the second birthday of 'thesmartclub', will be leaving from Alexandra Palace at 10am to undertake the 108 mile round trip - though with enthusiasts coming from every part of the UK and beyond - there is also a group from Germany participating - for some the 'round trip' will be much greater!
Tourists and residents are expected to line the route to see this latest motoring phenomenon. Following Beetle chic and Mini mania, smart cars have been tipped by celebs and enthusiasts as the most iconic automobiles of recent years with Robbie Williams, who is shortly taking delivery of the first smart Crossblade, stating: "I just love this car. It's innovative and unconventional, the two main qualities I look for in new projects."
